Pedestrian Hit By Man He Held Up

Thursday afternoon in Anaheim was the scene of an accident after a man who pulled over to ask for directions was assaulted by two men through the window of his vehicle with an automatic handgun on the corner of Orange Avenue and Beach Boulevard. They robbed him of his wallet, cell phone and other items according to reports from an Anaheim Police spokesman Rick Martinez.

The victim contacted police using OnStar as he followed a taxi that were carrying the men who robbed him, following the directions given the police went to Lincoln Avenue. Police saw two men exit a cab on Stanton Avenue in the vicinity of Knott’s Berry Farm and head south, the police ordered them to stop, the men walked faster instead and once man headed into the street.

When this suspect darted into traffic the victim of the robbery who was searching for the robbery suspects could not stop the pickup truck he was driving and struck the man. Upon impact the suspect’s gun flew onto the street from what is thought to be his waistband and he was taken into custody with minor injuries as well as the other suspect according to reports.
