A car accident due to a driver running stop sign occurred in San Luis Orcutt, which is the scene of an accident sent two people to the hospital and one person was pronounced dead according to reports from the scene of the serious car accident.

The two who were taken to the hospital were kept with injuries that ranged from moderate to minor; the identity of the person killed in the accident has not been released pending notification of their next of kin.

Three autos were involved in this car accident, where it has been reported that Ramon Baez a 67-year-old Morro Bay resident failed to come to a stop at a stop sign. This failure to stop resulted in the three car accident Monday afternoon according to reports.

This occurred at the intersection of Orcutt and Righetti roads, according to the California Highway Patrol. These roads are located east of San Luis Obispo on the afternoon of January 28th.

It took approximately two hours for the accident scene to be cleared and both lanes of traffic were closed during this time, which was outside of the city limits.

A spokesman for the California Highway Patrol stated that stop signs such as this one should be approached with caution, as often they are blind spots for some motorists, which results in accidents that could be avoided if approached with caution. Los Angeles accident lawyers deal with these same issues often and are awaiting your call if you were hurt in a serious injury in LA or Orange County.

Motorists Trapped On Icy Roads

January 25,2008 (by Otto Smyth)

The warm sunny weather that is usually the order of the day in Southern California is no place to be found, instead what is found on the freeways and highways is rain and in some areas icy snow.

This weather has had many motorists trapped on the highways for many hours and while some tempers may have become short. The statistics are not out yet but there is sure to be a rise in traffic accidents during this change in the weather that will include autos and tractor-trailers. The injuries will be from the slight jarring of the bump of the vehicle behind to whiplash, more severe injuries and often in this type of weather the auto accident death rate climbs.

During this little blast of winter in California so far there have been reports of hundreds of motorists that were stranded leaving the Highway Patrol no choice but to close Interstate 5 during the night. Their estimate is there were between three and five hundred autos and tractor-trailers stranded over night on a 40-mile piece of the Interstate and by this morning they had gotten most of these stranded motorists off the Interstate and on their way. January 18, 2008 (by Regina Habersham) Britney Spears has been in the news for months with the paparazzi showing her latest stuns, her court hearings for child custody and other events.

The latest event that brings Spears name to the forefront again involves the arrest of at least for members of the paparazzi who have been arrested for reckless driving and booked at the Van Nuys jail.

This occurred after 11:00pm in Mission Hills California, the charges included following Spears vehicle to closely, unsafe lane changes and driving unsafely at high speeds, by the police.

According to comments from Sam Lutfi one of Spears confidants, she did not want these photographers arrested and spoke with police trying to prevent the arrests. However, her pleas went unheard and the photographers in questions were transported to Van Nuys Police Department and booked in the unsafe driving infractions.

This may not surprise some readers as Spears has been personally connected with some members of the paparazzi in recent months.

The arrest did not end the reports for the rest of her evening activities, although other members of the paparazzi were sure to have driven more responsibly after the arrest of their fellow members of the paparazzi.

Spears herself was later pulled over by the LAPD who after checking her license allowed her to leave without incident.
