Pedestrian Killed In Newport Beach Crosswalk

According to reports by Los Angeles personal injury lawyers blog, the authorities a woman was struck and killed by the driver of an SUV while crossing the street in Newport Beach in the morning hours.

The woman that was killed has not been identified until her family is notified; however the police have given the identity of the driver of the SUV as 41 year old Martin Kuehl of Costa Mesa. Kuehl was driving a GMC Yukon when the SUV accident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The police have stated the woman was killed in a crosswalk accident at the time of the accident and they also feel drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident that they are still investigating.

The accident occurred in the vicinity of Westcliff Drive and Buckingham Lane and Kuehl was traveling west at the time of the accident.

I-15 Hit and Run Fatal For Pedestrian

According to reports the California Highway Patrol is seeking help from the public in a hit and run accident that occurred in the vicinity of Via Rancho on Interstate 15.

It has been reported by a spokes person for the California Highway Patrol that the hit and run accident, which occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. involved a person that was walking in the northbound No. 5 lane. A vehicle described as a gold Mazda3 approximately a 2008 or 2009 model struck the pedestrian. The person was struck with the passenger side of the vehicle and thrown into the concrete barrier on the right shoulder of the highway. The driver then fled the scene of the accident but left behind debris from the vehicle.

The body of the pedestrian was called in to authorities after a driver saw the victim on the right shoulder of the freeway at approximately 4:00 a.m.

The Medical Examiners Office stated the victim was dead upon their arrival and have stated that he appeared to be homeless and approximately age 50.

The California Highway Patrol is asking for any information about this vehicle and the driver of the vehicle, they assume it has damage to the front end that it is missing a right side mirror.

Orange County I-5 Crash Injures Seven

It has been reported that in an I-5 crash that occurred on Friday in Orange County in an accident that involved a tractor trailer and six other vehicles left two critically injured and five others with minor injuries.

The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the Santa Ana I-5 Freeway in Anaheim and south of the eastbound Riverside 91 Freeway at approximately 12:20 a.m. according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash between the tractor trailer and six vehicles left debris for approximately one fourth of a mile on the freeway after the accident. The tractor trailer that had been carrying vegetables was overturned in the accident and was burned. According to the Anaheim Fire Department spokes person Battalion Chief Tim Butler stated that it took approximately twenty minutes to free two of the motorists who had become trapped during the accident and were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Several lanes of the freeway had been closed for repairs including the HOV, 1 and 2, the tractor trailer and the five vehicles closed those lanes and the number 3 lane of I-5 for about five hours.

Two Lanes Closed After 101 Freeway Crash

According to reports by El Segundo car accident lawyers, there was a two vehicle accident in the vicinity of El Segundo Boulevard at approximately 6:30 a.m.

The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the Harbor Freeway according to d’Lisa Davies spokes person for the Los Angeles Fire Department. The accident slowed traffic closing two southbound lanes during rush hour.

It was also reported by Davies that two people were injured, they were identified as a 29 year old male and a 39 year old woman. They were both transported to the hospital with minor injuries and it has also been reported that both of the injured victims were wearing seat belts and the air bags in the auto had been deployed.

There is no further information on the conditions or identities of the man and woman involved in the crash.

Airplane And Car Collide On Interstate 40

According to reports by airplane accident attorneys, an experimental aircraft that had problems made an emergency landing on Interstate 40 west of Needles and was preparing to take off when it was struck by a vehicle.

It has been reported that at the time of the collision the plane was approximately 3 feet off the ground, however in a California Highway Patrol report the plane that was identified as a Titan Tornado was flying just above traffic. When it flew lower and into the path of the vehicle, which was a Ford Fusion. The Fusion was traveling in the westbound lane of Interstate 40 and the driver was identified as Jessia Erin Buckley a 26 year old from Riverside.

The motor vehicle versus aircraft collision was a head on accident and the pilot sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver Buckley, sustained minor injuries to her arm and refused treatment.

The California Highway Patrol closed the Interstate 40 westbound lanes, along with the U.S. 95 off ramp for several hours following the accident.

The airplane hits car accident is being investigated by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.

The identity of the pilot has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Two 91 Freeway Early Morning Accidents Turn Fatal

According to reports by Los Angeles motor vehicle accident lawyers, in two separate accidents on the 91 Freeway were fatal to five people.

The first of these accidents occurred in the Corona area in the vicinity west of Lincoln Avenue. In statements by the California Highway Patrol dispatch supervisor Russell Kingston, at the Inland Empire Communications Center that the accident occurred at approximately 2:30 a. m. in the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway.

The vehicle involved in the home car accident left the road hitting a tree and fatally injuring the four occupants of the vehicle. Two of the occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

The identities have not been released of the victims and the accident is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

The second accident that occurred involved a motorcycle that sustained fatal injures and expired at the scene of the accident. The accident occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. when the rider was making the transition from the northbound lane of the 110 Freeway to the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 110 Freeway and 91 Freeway transition ramp was closed while the accident investigation was in progress. No other information has been release; the identity of the rider has also not been released, though his approximate age was given as in his 30’s.

U-Turn Crash In Tustin

Tustin - An unnamed man attempting a U-turn crashed into a power pole Tuesday night. The driver of a red Corvette clipped another car as he was attempting to make the turn.

Reportedly, the power pole was knocked off its base and fell into the street according to witnesses at the scene. The accident happened between Utt and Cindy streets on Bryan Avenue. Residents say they saw sparks exploding from the pole. Neighborhood resident Pam Colby was told to stay out of her home because the pole and wires were leaning on her roof.

The male driver was injured in the accident and was treated by Orange County Fire paramedics and taken to a hospital nearby. No other injuries were reported.

A black Mitsubishi Lancer was also hit in the accident but there were no injuries to the driver. His car was later towed with rear bumper damage.

Residents report there was a short power outage and Southern California Edison power company repaired the wires and pole soon after the crash.

Vehicle Rollover Kills Young Child

According to reports by Los Angeles SUV Rollover Attorneys, an accident that occurred on Interstate 5 in the vicinity south of Gorman took the life of an eight year old child.

The accident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. according to the California Highway Patrol, they and Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine 77 were both on the scene of the accident. The accident involved one vehicle, a 1991 GMC Rally Van that the left rear tire had a blow out. The driver Anit Sen lost control of the van after the blow out, the van swerved out of the lane it was in striking an asphalt curb.

This caused the van to become airborne striking a dirt embankment and rolled into a ditch where it landed on the roof.

Anit Sen suffered major injuries, Priya Sen age 8 sustained fatal injuries, Manisha Sen age 2 sustained minor injuries and Shabeena Chander age 34 sustained moderate injuries. The two passengers were transported by ambulance to the Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital, the driver was transported by the L.A. County Fire Department helicopter to the University of Southern California Medical Center.

91 Freeway Accident Sends Motorcycle Rider To Hospital

According to reports by the Los Angeles personal injury lawyers blog, a Sig Alert was enacted following a motorcycle accident on the 91 Freeway.

It is reported that the accident occurred in the Anaheim area in the vicinity of Lemon Street and East Street and the SigAlert was called at approximately 7:00 a.m.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes and included a motorcycle and three cars.

The only report of injuries this far is that the rider of the motorcycle was transported to Anaheim Memorial Hospital for treatment.

There have been no identities release and the cause of the accident has not been released, the left lane and the carpool lane eastbound were closed until approximately 7:15 a.m. while authorities cleared the lanes after the accident.
