According to the California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada, the accident occurred at approximately 7:49 a.m. in the vicinity of the northbound 57 Freeway and Chapman Avenue, closing the lanes in this area.
The accident occurred when a woman driving a black Toyota RAV4 in the far right lane slammed on her breaks slowing traffic. The vehicle then veered across all the lanes striking a white Nissan Altima in the No. 1 lane, according to California Highway Patrol Officer P. Gomez.
The Altima struck the wall and the RAV4 crossed all the lanes ending up stopping on the right shoulder.
The woman driving the Toyota RAV4 sustained minor leg injuries, according to Officer Gomez.
