Morgan Freeman Sued After Car Crash

According to reports by car accident lawyers in Los Angeles, Morgan Freeman is being sued after an August accident by a woman who was a passenger in his vehicle identified as Demaris Meyer.

Meyer is being represented by Gloria Allred and in a Los Angeles news conference Meyer stated that she had met Freeman along with other friends for dinner at the country club the night of the crash and their had been no long relationship between them.

The lawsuit against Freeman for injuries sustained during the August crash was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi Delta Division. They stated the crash occurred on August 3, 2008 near the vicinity of Freeman’s ranch in Charleston Mississippi, when they were driving in his Nissan Maxima. Freeman lost control of the vehicle and it struck a ditch and rolled over.

A spokesman for Freeman Ken Sunshine, stated that they are convinced this suit can be resolved and that was the only comment they had. Freeman was also injured in the August 3rd accident and hospitalized for four days, his injuries included a broken arm and elbow.

Meyers and her attorney Gloria Allred stated one of the reasons to bring this to the media in Los Angeles is because Meyer had been portrayed in the media as having an affair with Freeman that broke his marriage up.

Tagger Fatally Struck On I-5 After Tagging Sign

According to reports by the California Highway Patrol and car accident lawyers in Los Angeles, a man was struck and killed on the 5 Freeway after tagging a sign.

The California Highway Patrol Officer Lt. Cheryl MacWillie stated the accident occurred when the man ran across the northbound lanes of the freeway at approximately 4:30 a.m. after he had finished tagging a freeway sign.

The accident occurred on the Golden State 5 Freeway in the vicinity of Cypress Park, according to Lt. MacWillie.

The man has been identified as Jaime Herrera age 25 and resident of Los Angeles according to the Los Angeles County Coroners Office.

Herrera was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident according to Lt. MacWillie and another person that was with him that survived the accident.

The accident closed all of the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway except for one that was left open. Traffic was backed up due to the lane closure during the morning rush hour.

Cal State Northridge Guard Injured In Crash

According to reports Josh Jenkins the Cal State Northridge guard was injured in a weekend vehicle accident and has been hospitalized.

Jenkins a native of Albuquerque was involved in a single vehicle car accident hours after the Saturday evening game where he scored 19 points in a 77 to 64 victory over UC Riverside.

According to reports Jenkins is stable condition after the accident where he was a passenger in the vehicle where the driver was killed in the single car accident.

Bobby Braswell, Jenkins coach stated that this is a large blow to their team at this time during the season, but they are grateful the player will recover. Jenkins is the leader in Big West assists who are leading in the conference standings.

Crash Victim Injured On Way To Hospital When Ambulance Crashes

According to reports a downtown Los Angeles car accident left four people injured due slick roads.

According to the California Highway Patrol after vehicle crash in Los Angeles downtown freeway caused by slick rain filled roads at approximately 12:40 AM on Interstate 101. It was reported that the vehicle landed on its roof trapping both passengers in the vehicle and had to be freed by the authorities.

Reports the California Highway Patrol stated the driver of the vehicle is suspected of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol when they lost control of the vehicle at approximately 12:40 AM.

According to fire Department spokesman one of the people in the vehicle was a 26-year-old woman who sustained major injuries, including major head injuries and was in cardiac arrest. According to the spokesperson, while being transported to the hospital in the ambulance was transporting her also crashed on the rain filled streets. The woman has been hospitalized in extremely critical condition.

There were also two men and one woman were hospitalized after the accident with various injuries. The injured also included the driver of the vehicle, was later arrested for suspected driving under the influence.

One Person Fatally Injured Collision With Fire Truck

According to reports by car accident lawyers in Los Angeles, that the collision that reportedly occurred a little after 5:00 a.m. That to mean a fire truck and a pickup truck left one person fatally injured.

The according to Captain Julie Hutchinson of the Riverside County Fire Department one person was a passenger in the pickup truck sustained fatal injuries, and two firefighters sustained moderate injuries.

According to California Highway Patrol the accident occurred in the vicinity of Etiwanda Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard, when the pickup truck and the fire truck collided. The California Highway Patrol has not released the circumstances that caused the collision, as it is still under investigation.

Riverside County Fire Department Capt. Fernando Herrera stated that at the time of the collision the fire truck was on a service call. Herrera also stated that the intersection where the crash occurred often has heavy traffic that includes large vehicles and semi trucks.

The authorities have not released the identity of the person and the pickup truck that sustained fatal injuries.

Suspected Hit and Run Driver Of Mother, Infant and 5 Year Old Arrested

According to reports by personal injury lawyers in Los Angeles, the driver of the vehicle suspected of a hit and run involving a mother, her infant who was fatally injured and her 5 year old daughter has been arrested.

The hit and run accident occurred in the vicinity of Westlake Sunday at approximately 11:30 p.m. Los Angeles Police Department detectives from the Central Traffic Division arrested a man suspected of the hit and run a few hours later. The alleged hit and run driver has been identified as Henry Yovanni Moreno age 30, a resident of South Gate.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department it is suspected that Moreno was driving under the influence at the time of hit and run accident that critically injured the 5 year old daughter, fatally injured an 11 month old infant and moderately injured the children’s mother.

The mother was reportedly pushing the child and the infant in a stroller across Bonnie Brae Avenue at Olympic Boulevard when they were allegedly struck by Moreno who was driving a black 1991 Honda. It is then alleged Moreno fled the scene of the accident according to Los Angeles Police Officer Sara Fadden and abandoned the Honda in the vicinity of Staples Center.

Moreno was arrested and charged with suspicion of vehicular homicide later Sunday night according to Officer Fadden. The names of the children and their mother have not been released.
