November 29, 2010-According to reports an early morning crash in the 10 Freeway resulted in one death and three people injured.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Vallalobos, the accident that occurred on the I-10 Freeway at approximately 4:45 a.m. closed all the lanes of the highway. The crash occurred in the vicinity of Crenshaw Boulevard.
The multi-vehicle crash fatally injured one woman, one person sustained serious injuries and two others sustained minor injuries according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brain Humphrey.
One of the vehicles was engulfed in flames at the scene of the crash and according to Villalobos it is unclear if the woman killed was in that vehicle.
All lanes of the westbound I-10 Freeway were closed after the crash. The two left lanes of the freeway were opened at approximately 8:40 a.m. with the others remaining closed while under investigation by the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.
The remaining three lanes of the 10 Freeway were opened at about 9:30 a.m. according to California Highway Patrol Officer Villalobos.

Charges Against Driver in Deadly Lexus Crash Dropped
November 4, 2010-According to reports the charges against a driver involved in a deadly Lexus crash have been dropped.
Driver Unmi Suk Chung age 62 was the driver of a Lexus that was involved in a rollover crash in December of 2008 on Interstate 10 in West Los Angeles. Chung’s sister-in-law was killed in the crash and Chung a resident of Torrance was facing up to six years in prison.
The charges against Chung were dropped Wednesday, after prosecutors stated that safety recalls by Toyota Motor Corp. would make getting a conviction against Chung difficult.
A passenger that survived the rollover crash told investigators that prior to the accident Chung had screamed several times while the vehicle was speeding at close to 80 mph that she had no breaks in the crash that occurred in the vicinity of the Overland Avenue exit ramp.
Richard Hutton, Chung’s attorney stated that the charges being dropped were a big relief to her and that she had been depressed about the death of her sister-in-law and the charges. Hutton stated that it was a correct decision, because there was nothing that Chung could have done to prevent the Lexus rollover crash.
