Multi-Vehicle Crash Clogs Up Traffic on the 57 Freeway

October 10, 2011-According to reports a multi-vehicle collision on the 57 Freeway, clogging up traffic. According to the California Highway Patrol the multi-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 6:55 a.m. on the 57 Freeway in the southbound lanes in the vicinity north of East Imperial Highway.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer J. Sanchez, the crash was a chain reaction collision involving three vehicles in the No. 2 lane. It involved a Mercedes Benz that was struck by the driver of a Lexus 350, causing the Mercedes to be pushed into a Toyota Camry.

Officer Sanchez said that the driver of the Camry was transported to the hospital from the scene of the crash. According to the California Highway Patrol a SigAlert was issued for the No. 1, 2 and 3 southbound lanes of the 57 Freeway for less than thirty minutes.
