Downtown Los Angeles Seven Car Pileup Blocks Two Lanes of the 110 Freeway

December 9, 2011 - According to reports a seven car pileup on the 110 Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles blocked two lanes of the highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol Officer Christian Cracraft a seven car pileup occurred at approximately 2:17 p.m. in Downtown Los Angeles north of Hill Street. CHP Officer Cracraft said that the seven car collision blocked two of the three northbound lanes on the 110 Freeway.

The officer stated that there was a Metro bus at the scene, but it is unclear if it was involved in the collision.According to Officer Cracraft a SigAlert was not issued, but that it would take approximately 30 minutes to clear the scene of the crash and traffic is stopped all the way to the 10 Freeway.
