Driver Hits La Habra Locksmith Booth—Police Investigating Possible Alcohol Link

December 27, 2011 - According to reports police are investigating the cause of an accident involving a driver that drove into a La Habra locksmith booth. According to La Habra Police Department Sgt. Jeff Baylos the accident was reported at approximately 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Beach Boulevard.

The driver of a vehicle crashed into a traffic pole and a portion of the vehicle was crashed into the booth of the Crest Lock and Key in La Habra, Sgt. Baylos said. According to Sgt. Baylos the accident is being investigated to determine if the driver was under the influence at the time of the crash.

The locksmith booth, according to new owner and partner of Green Security, Chad Luettgerodt said that the building has been there for 43 years and their company had just purchased it from the original owners.

Sgt. Baylos said that no one was in the building at the time and the driver was transported to an area hospital after complaining of pain.
