Homeless Woman Critically Injured in Hit and Run

March 5, 2012 - According to reports a homeless woman was critically injured in a hit and run accident.

According to authorities the hit and run occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Sunday, in the vicinity between 4th and 5th Street on the sidewalk of Towne Avenue in Los Angeles.

The homeless woman identified as _________________, was struck while sleeping in a tent on the sidewalk.

Police believe the driver identified as a man in his 30’s struck the woman, while attempting to hit a pedestrian.

The vehicle that struck the woman is described as a grey 1998-2009 Pontiac Grand-Am or Grand-Prix. Police said the side window was smashed during the crash. Silver was transported to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition, according to authorities.

Police are asking anyone with information about the car accident or the driver to contact them.
