March 6, 2012 - According to reports at least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash that involved a big rig. According to the California Highway Patrol the accident occurred at approximately 8:12 a.m. west of Weir Canyon Road in the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway, in Anaheim.
California Highway Patrol officer Gabe Montoya said the driver of a big rig called the California Highway Patrol from a nearby truck scale to report being involved in the collision.
At least three vehicles were involved in the accident and one is described as being a silver compact vehicle that was dented on the side and pushed into the center divider wall, CHP officer Montoya said.
Officer Montoya said that the truck driver might not have been aware at the time the truck was involved in the crash.
According to witnesses the car struck another vehicle and then crashed into the center divider wall.
CHP Officer Montoya said that both California Highway Patrol Officers and Anaheim firefighter responded to the scene of the accident and one person was transported to an area hospital.
