March 13, 2012 - According to reports multiple crashes on the southbound lanes of the 55 Freeway slowing traffic.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Gabe Montoya a multiple vehicle crash was reported at approximately 6:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 55 Freeway.
The accident involved approximately five vehicles, in the vicinity of East Dyer Road. The multiple vehicle crash caused a SigAlert to be issued for the No. 4 lane that was later canceled at approximately 7:20 a.m.
Another collision occurred in the vicinity of East McFadden Street in the southbound lanes of the 55 Freeway, CHP Officer Montoya said. There were four vehicles involved in the second crash and were on the right shoulder of the freeway.
California Highway Patrol Officer Montoya said, a third crash was reported at approximately 6:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 55 freeway, in the vicinity north of the 22 Freeway.
This collision involved three vehicles that were in one lane, according to witnesses, and there were no reported injuries, CHP Officer Montoya said.
