Teen Motorist Pleads Not Guilty In Fatal Hit and Run

March 21, 2012 - According to reports a teen driver has pled not guilty to a San Diego fatal hit and run accident.

According to San Diego prosecutors 18 year old driver Nikolette Kristina Gallo plead not guilty to a fatal hit and run that occurred on Interstate 8 in Ocean Beach. Gallo told her parents that alerted police after seeing a man had been killed in a hit and run accident and said she believed she had hit him.

Gallo said that she had taken a friend home and had drank earlier in the evening, before hitting what she thought was a couch on Interstate 8. Defense Attorney A. King Aminpour said that Gallo age 18, could have exercised poor judgment and said she might or might not have been drinking.

Gallo is charged with the hit and run death of ________ age 23 on March 11th, who was fatally injured in the accident. The teen driver is free on $50,000 and has pled not guilty and agreed to wear a device that monitors alcohol consumption.

Gallo faces up to four years in prison if found guilty of the hit and run death of Sho Funai.
