Police Pursuit Crash Causes Two People to be Injured

May 29, 2012 - According to reports, two people were injured in a crash that involved a vehicle being pursued by the police. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada the accident occurred at approximately 11:52 p.m. on Yorba Street in the vicinity of Santa Clara Avenue in North Tustin. Officer Quesada said there were limited details about the crash, but it appeared the driver of a vehicle ran a stop sign, causing the collision. Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Marc Stone said that a man and woman were injured in the crash. California Highway Patrol Officer Quesada said that one of the people involved in the crash took off on foot and jumped over a fence. Officer Quesada said the suspect was found in a cul-de-sac. The suspect was transported to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana and then was taken into custody at approximately 1:31 a.m. by police.
