Police Searching for Hit and Run Driver that Crashed into a High-End Body Shop
May 16, 2012 - As a hit and run accident lawyer, I get calls all the time that freak me out. Here is a crazy story. According to reports, police are searching for a hit and run driver that crashed into a high-end body shop in Los Angeles. See the pictures here >>> http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-car-dealership-hit-run,0,7256488.story
According to police, the accident occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m. at the high-end Specialty Craft Car in the 1800 block of South La Cienega Boulevard in the South Robertson area. The car that crashed into the auto shop has been identified as a Lincoln Towncar, police said.
Police said when the Towncar crashed into the building of Specialty Craft Car it caused damage to a Ferrari and a Lamborghini that were inside of the building. According to police after the driver crashed into the building they took off on foot, fleeing the scene of the crash. I hope there is insurance. But no matter what, a crashed Ferrari or Lambo is no longer cherry. This means that someone is losing money and prestige.
A passenger that was injured in the crash was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said. Hopefully the passenger is ok, and they catch the loser who left the scene. My experience has been they are usually DUI when the take off like that. We'll see.
