Three People Killed in Wrong Way SUV Crash

May 14, 2012 - According to reports three people were killed in a wrong way crash, caused by an SUV traveling in the wrong direction. According to authorities the accident occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 in the vicinity of the 6th Street exit on Sunday in Norco. Police investigators said that a Jeep Cherokee was traveling in the wrong direction in the southbound lanes of the Interstate. Investigators said they are uncertain why the driver was traveling in the wrong direction. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries due to the SUV crash, police said. The other two people killed in the accident were traveling in a compact car and were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Police said they are not releasing the identities of the victims killed in the early Sunday morning crash, pending notification of their next of kin.
