Three Vehicle Collision Leaves Infant in Critical Condition and One Person Dead
May 9, 2012 - According to reports a 7 month old baby has been listed in critical condition and one person was killed in a three vehicle collision in Huntington Beach. According to Huntington Beach Police Department Lt. Gary Faust the accident occurred at approximately 7:31 a.m. on Bolsa Chica Street and Tasman Drive, in Huntington Beach.
Lt. Faust said that the accident occurred when the driver of an orange Ford Bronco traveling in the northbound lanes lost control of the vehicle crossing the center divider into southbound traffic. The Bronco struck a silver Honda in the southbound lanes, with a third vehicle crashing into the collision, Lt. Faust said. The impact of the crash caused the Bronco to roll over onto its roof.
Lt. Faust said that one person was killed in the crash and their identity has not been released, pending notification of their family. A seven month old baby was also injured in the crash and is listed in critical condition. The three vehicle crash caused both directions of Bolsa Chica Street and Tasman Drive to be blocked, and were expected to remain closed until approximately noon, Lt. Faust said.
