Woman Seriously Injured in Three Vehicle Crash

May 25, 2012 - According to reports a woman was seriously injured and hospitalized in a three vehicle collision. According to Anaheim Police Officer Jim Accornero the three vehicle crash occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. Friday morning at Ball Road and Western Avenue in Anaheim.

Officer Accornero said that the preliminary investigation showed that a Chrysler Seabring was traveling north on Western Avenue and ran a red light. It then struck a Chevrolet sedan that was traveling westbound on Ball Road, through the intersection. The impact of the crash caused the Sebring to hit a Ford Focus ZXW that was stopped at the red light in the southbound lanes of Western Avenue, Officer Accornero said.

Officer Accornero said a woman driving the Sebring suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening and was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange. He said the drivers of the Chevrolet sedan and Ford Focus were not injured in the crash. According to the Anahiem Police Department traffic was backed up for approximately 30 minutes, while the vehicles were removed from the scene of the crash. Learn more here.
