Two People Injured in Left Hand Turn Crash

June 6, 2012 - According to reports two people were injured in a collision involving a left hand turn. According to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Chuck Knight the accident was reported at approximately 6:19 a.m. at La Palma Avenue and North Blue Gum Street in Anaheim.

Sgt. Knight said the accident occurred when the two vehicles collided, involving a Honda Accord and a Nissan Versa. According to the initial investigation, the driver of the Nissan Versa, identified as a male was traveling eastbound and turned left into oncoming traffic.

The driver of the Honda Accord, identified as a woman was traveling westbound, when the Versa collided with this. Sgt. Knight said that both vehicles spun due to the impact, and a second crash damaged the driver’s side of the Honda. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries, Sgt. Knight said. The collision caused the westbound lanes of La Palma and the southbound lanes of Blue Gum to be closed, Anaheim police said.
